Zerri with Garlic Sauce: the seafood dish most loved by our elders.
Ingredients
zerri
flour
salt
garlic
vinegar
rosemary
fry oil
Directions
Clean the zerri and flour them.
Fry them in olive oil checking that cooking is uniform on both sides.
Drain and dry them with absorbing paper.
Arrange them on a plate, adding a pinch of salt.
Aside prepare the garlic sauce. Crush the garlic, add vinegar and a little rosemary and boil it in a pan for three minutes.
Pour the garlic sauce over the zerri using a spoon.
Serve after about 20 minutes.
The zerri with garlic sauce can be preserved for many days.
They are also excellent without the garlic sauce, only fried and well sprinkled with local lemon juice.
Not many people know that zerri, the cheapest fish, if cooked properly, are among the tastiest fish.
