The most significant theatrical event on the Riviera is certainly the Borgio Verezzi Season (July-August, tel. 0182-98566) which every year yields its own production presented in world premiere and in a series of repeats, combined with representations of the classical repertoire.

The event takes place outdoors in a particularly cozy environment, in the heart of the historic center of Borgio Verezzi.

Many towns, however, offer from time to time different shows, either with a historical theme (such as within the severe walls of the Dolceacqua castle), or of regional theater (as in Pietrabruna), or of open-air theater (as in Apricale).
